I've pretty much given up on eating in restaurants. Tasks as simple as "no croutons on my salad" seem to be impossible for restaurant workers to accomplish. If I end up in a restaurant I either eat my own food I brought with me or I just drink water and watch the wife and kids eat their food. I've never received any complaints from restaurant workers because I brought my own food in a plastic container, just as long as the other folks I'm with are buying food they seem to be satisfied. When traveling I bring a lot of food with me and/or I stop in grocery stores for my food. I eat a lot of raw veggies and canned tuna fish then.
